Firefighter/Paramedic

City of Allen, TX is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services, responding to fire and emergency calls, and performing various duties to protect lives and property.

• Provides emergency medical services by responding to emergency calls, assessing medical needs, and administering advanced life support.
• Protects lives and property by responding to fire and emergency calls, performing radio communications, and completing fire suppression activities.
• Maintains fire-fighting and paramedic equipment and fire station property by performing preventative maintenance and ensuring apparatus is operating properly.
• Maintains assigned medical and firefighting certifications by participating in continuing education and completing appropriate paperwork.
• Educates the community about fire safety by responding to citizen inquiries and presenting fire safety tips to local schools and businesses.

• High School diploma or equivalent with no prior relevant experience.
• Texas Commission on Fire Protection Firefighter (Structural) Certification.
• Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) Paramedic Certification or License.
• Valid Driver's License.
