Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electronics Technician to join our team at Solar Turbines Incorporated. As an Industrial Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems, controls, and components of manufacturing machine tools and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic systems, controls, and components of manufacturing machine tools and production equipment.
  • Use knowledge, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, electrical codes, and other specifications to perform work.
  • Design circuitry to modify control designs to repair or improve electronic controls and control systems.
  • Produce schematics, sketches, or other documentation to record accomplished work.
  • Repair or modify printed circuit cards.
  • Program computer controls for production equipment and machine tools.
  • Perform electrical infrastructure installations, lighting repair and replacement, and electrical motor repair and replacement.
  • Communicate directly with manufacturer's technical or engineering support to resolve machine tool or other production equipment problems.
Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience with electrical and electronic trouble shooting, installation, and repair.
  • Knowledge of motor controls, ladder logic, and PLC's.
  • The ability to run conduit of all sizes.
  • Ability to work at heights, operate forklifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recognized apprenticeship.
  • Technical college or trade school.
  • Military electrical or electronic training.
  • Machine Tool Repair/calibration experience.
Compensation and Benefits

Base rate for this role ranges from $35.47 to $54.71. Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.

Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
