Role Overview:

As the Housekeeping Team Leader, your primary responsibility will be to manage the activities of the cleaning staff, ensuring that the clubhouse and surrounding areas are maintained in a pristine and welcoming condition. You will cultivate an atmosphere where motivated individuals are eager to join, learn, collaborate, and excel. By exemplifying best practices, empowering your team, sharing insights, and providing guidance, you will lead a diverse group of skilled housekeepers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising and managing housekeeping operations, including evaluating staff performance.
  • Utilize leadership abilities and motivational strategies to enhance team productivity and morale.
  • Oversee daily operations, quality assurance, ongoing training, coaching, and guidance for the housekeeping team.
  • Deliver regular training sessions to staff to improve service quality for members and guests.
  • Monitor service delivery and teamwork, offering support to team members as necessary.
  • Ensure a well-organized and efficient housekeeping operation, maintaining the clubhouse's high cleanliness standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces for cleanliness, surpassing appearance expectations.
  • Implement multi-point inspection systems and daily cleaning logs to guarantee team effectiveness and cleanliness standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures, taking corrective measures to enhance safety.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly housekeeping schedules, detailing daily tasks, special events, and projects.
  • Approve and manage payroll submissions, adhering to payroll guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of cleaning equipment and its upkeep.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to member and guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Perform cleaning tasks in the absence of housekeeping staff and participate in significant cleaning initiatives.
  • Assist in the management of temporary and permanent signage.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address special requests, guest room access, repairs, and cleaning contractor activities.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of linens, amenities, chemicals, and cleaning supplies to meet budgetary goals.
  • Support disciplinary actions as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in housekeeping, with a solid understanding of the field.
  • Supervisory skills are essential.
  • Strong communication skills with team members, management, and members.
  • Excellent organizational and team leadership abilities.
  • Capability to operate and instruct others in the use of floor maintenance and other cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to use a two-way radio, cleaning tools, and general office equipment, including computers.
  • Physical stamina for continuous movement and standing, with the capacity to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Knowledge of fundamental housekeeping safety standards.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
