SUMMARY:
The Environmental Supervisor oversees the daily management of all designated Environmental initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, Asbestos Removal, Mold Remediation, and Lead Removal.
Key responsibilities encompass adherence to state or local regulations, management of temporary labor, selection of equipment, procurement of materials, on-site supervision, accuracy in documentation, and quality assurance.
The Environmental Supervisor collaborates closely with occupants, property owners, and industrial hygienists throughout the remediation process, providing daily updates to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Compensation Range:
$24.00- $36.00/hour
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Field Oversight
- Supervise technicians and temporary labor at job sites and in facilities.
- Complete a Daily Project Summary, Sign-in Sheet, and Safety toolbox meeting forms each day.
- Track progress and schedule for final inspections.
- Manage temporary labor resources.
- Fill out order forms for materials and equipment required for specific tasks.
- Ensure all demolition work is thorough, clean, and ready for reconstruction.
- Monitor labor hours allocated for project completion.
- Conduct Safety toolbox discussions and ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Maintain sign-in sheets for all temporary labor sources.
- Comply with all State, OSHA, and Environmental regulations.
- Assist with any emergency mitigation as necessary.
- Ensure project outcomes meet the highest standards of quality as per industry benchmarks.
- Adhere to all company Best Practices.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
Administrative Management
- Review and manage project-related paperwork and submit it to the Project Coordinator.
- Enter time into Exaktime at the end of each work shift.
- Submit Temporary Labor Timesheets weekly.
- Maintain inventory of commonly used materials.
- Complete order forms for equipment and materials utilized for specific jobs.
- Track equipment usage on projects to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Identify and report any equipment requiring maintenance.
- Update project timelines as necessary.
- Ensure all relevant certifications are current.
- Verify that equipment is operational and ready for use.
- Ensure vehicles are prepared and stocked according to company specifications.
- Responsible for guiding, mentoring, and training Environmental Technician staff.
- Participate in the company's emergency mitigation on-call management rotation.
Financial Oversight
- Monitor labor hours, materials, and equipment usage to guarantee project profitability.
- Utilize temporary labor resources and other strategies to prevent unnecessary overtime.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have direct reports.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Physical capability to perform required job tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Candidates must pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
- Asbestos 40-hour supervisor certification (assistance available for obtaining).
- Must possess an asbestos Supervisor State ID (assistance available for obtaining).
- 1-3 years of experience in asbestos abatement preferred.
- National Catastrophe response volunteer experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders throughout the project management process.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
