About the Role

The Texas Lottery Commission is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for performing complex financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting tasks to support the Commission's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to ensure accurate and timely financial information
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Provide financial guidance and support to management and staff on financial matters
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and laws affecting the Commission's operations
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • Three years of professional experience in accounting, financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, or other financial experience
  • Experience with automated accounting systems, preferably CAPPS Financials
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders
