About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team at Asurint. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying business intelligence solutions that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop business intelligence solutions using various tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT peers and business partners to identify business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain data analytics platforms, including data marts and data warehouses.
  • Recognize data trends and correct data quality issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide support for operational systems, including troubleshooting and testing.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence documentation and source system data mapping documentation.
  • Follow the software development life cycle in all development efforts.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Hands-on expertise with database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) framework.
  • High level of expertise in development/enhancement of ETL packages/processes using tools like Fivetran/DBT, custom reports using Google BigQuery, and dashboards using BI dashboard tools such as Sisense, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Strong knowledge in developing SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
  • Experience working with data and platforms related to Sales, Operations, and Finance is preferred.
  • JSON/XML knowledge is required.
  • Experience with BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and Fivetran/DBT is required.

Work Environment

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of offices, including the need for general safe workplace practices with office equipment and computers, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations.

This position is performed remotely within the United States or in an office setting in the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters, although off-site meetings in various settings may occur.

The schedule is generally normal Eastern Time Zone business hours (unless otherwise communicated based on position or working location), although the employee may be required to perform work, attend meetings and events before or after normal working hours, and occasionally on weekends and evenings.

Some travel by personal automobile and a valid driver's license is required. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Ability to lift light objects (less than 20 pounds) and carry them short distances (20 feet or less) is required.
