Position Summary: We are looking for a reliable and skilled individual to fill the role of 1st Shift Equipment/Building Maintenance Assistant. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to ensure optimal quality, productivity, and safety standards for machinery, auxiliary equipment, and the facility itself.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure injection molding production equipment is maintained and repaired to operate at peak efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of auxiliary equipment.
- Conduct and document preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Manage inventory levels for necessary replacement parts.
- Wire control panels and interpret electrical schematics and Ladder Logic Diagrams.
- Design, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems along with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, including the repair or replacement of gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
- Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment, including programmable controllers and robotic systems.
- Perform basic machining and fabrication of components using blueprints.
- Analyze production metrics to propose equipment enhancements supported by cost analysis.
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager and Quality Team to implement process improvements.
- Be flexible with work hours as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance on both the interior and exterior of the building.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in equipment and building maintenance or a related discipline is preferred.
- Strong mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with the Quality System Manual procedures relevant to this role.
- Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Physical endurance to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy items.
- Dependability and a solid work ethic.
