Job Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Kaiser Permanente is responsible for the assessment and care of patients in the designated service. The NP performs physical examinations, confers with patients, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care principles and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Conducts age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination.
Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status.
Consults with supervising physicians or other clinicians as needed and participates in the overall coordination of patient care.
Establishes and maintains effective communication with other healthcare providers and departments to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the institution and performs efficiently in emergency situations.

Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months experience as a nurse practitioner.
One year of experience as a NP providing care for women in family planning, perinatal care, and menopause management within the past 3 years.
Masters Degree in Nursing (unless already a Kaiser Permanente employee who was grandfathered in prior to California Business and Professions Code requirement in January 1, 2008).
Completion of masters program in Adult NP, Family Practice NP, or Women's Health NP required.
Registered Nurse License (California), Nurse Practitioner Certificate (California), Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (California), and National Provider Identifier required.
Basic Life Support certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:
