Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Laboratory Director and Technical Supervisors, the Laboratory Science Specialist is tasked with executing technical procedures and ensuring Quality Control within the Clinical Laboratory. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, performing necessary actions to guarantee precise reporting, conducting phlebotomy, and managing clerical duties as required.
All personnel within the laboratory at MDA Edge are expected to uphold the mission and values of the organization by interacting with patients, visitors, colleagues, and staff in a compassionate, respectful, and confidential manner while fulfilling their responsibilities according to established standards.
Each member of the Laboratory Team is responsible for their work's accuracy, adhering to the Professional Standards expected of Clinical Laboratory Scientists or Health Care Workers.
Staff members are required to maintain the confidentiality of all reports, ensure the integrity of patient sample identification, and carry out designated tasks that support the laboratory's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Valid California CLS License.
