Security Supervisor

As a Security Supervisor at Fair Grounds, you will be responsible for safeguarding the company's assets, maintaining security over the entire facility, and overseeing guest and employee safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to enforce company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Safeguarding Assets: Protect company property and assets from theft, damage, or loss.
- Security Operations: Maintain security over the entire facility during assigned shifts, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
- Guest and Employee Safety: Oversee guest and employee safety, responding to incidents and providing support as needed.
- Policies and Procedures: Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit accurate reports, including Guest Accident Reports and Security Incident Reports.
- Cash Handling: Escort coin and cash, ensuring secure transportation and storage.
- Drop Box Collection: Collect and transport drop boxes to storage areas, maintaining accurate records.
- First Aid and Emergency Response: Administer minor first aid when required and respond to emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Leadership and Supervision: Supervise Security Officers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective team performance.
- Education and Experience: Two years of security experience and one year of supervisor experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common documentation, respond to inquiries or complaints, and write and present information to management.
- Licenses and Certificates: Must be 21 years or older, have the ability to obtain a work permit issued by the Louisiana State Police, and hold a valid Driver's License.
This position requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent contact with gaming patrons and Racing guests. The physical demands of this role include constant wrist motion, sitting, hearing, and eye/hand coordination, as well as frequent speaking, reading, writing, standing, walking, bending, and stooping. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling may also be required.
