Job Description

We are seeking a Fintech and Financial Services Associate - Securities Law Specialist to join our growing and creative financial services practice. The successful candidate will contribute to strategic securities law counseling for launching new investment products and platforms. They will also provide discrete counseling on laws and regulations applicable to issuers and intermediaries in securities laws transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to strategic securities law counseling for launching new investment products and platforms.
  • Provide discrete counseling on laws and regulations applicable to issuers and intermediaries in securities laws transactions.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop problem-solving strategies and assess risk for clients while working solidly within applicable regulation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and develop strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Partner with clients in a positive way through complex discussions and decisions.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the practice.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years experience, particularly as it relates to investment products and securities intermediaries.
  • Knowledge of investment adviser, broker-dealer, and/or other securities and commodities regulations, preferably with a focus on fintech companies.
  • Ability to think creatively and with nuance to develop problem-solving strategies and assess risk for clients while working solidly within applicable regulation.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, particularly when expressing complex ideas and analyses.
  • History of collaborating well within a team and taking initiative to contribute to analyses of issues of first impression to achieve the best possible outcome for a client.
  • Ability to partner with clients in a positive way through complex discussions and decisions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exemplary research and analytical skills related to SEC and CFTC regulation and enforcement.
