Job Title: Radio Frequency Optimization Engineer

First Point Group is seeking a highly skilled Radio Frequency Optimization Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform RF network optimization to enhance network performance for voice and data services, focusing on KPIs such as coverage, capacity, quality, and user experience.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot network issues related to coverage, interference, and handover performance in various wireless technologies (e.g., 4G LTE, 5G NR).
  • Conduct drive tests and use network tools (e.g., Atoll, TEMS, Nemo, etc.) to assess network performance and gather data for optimization activities.
  • Optimize network parameters for both macro and small cell networks to enhance coverage, capacity, and user experience.
  • Perform capacity planning, traffic management, and interference analysis, ensuring optimal use of available spectrum.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including RF Design Engineers, Deployment Engineers, and Network Operations, to implement optimization strategies.
  • Use performance management systems (e.g., OSS, ENM, Actix) to monitor, analyze, and report on network KPIs.
  • Recommend and implement configuration changes to RAN (Radio Access Network) elements to achieve performance improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and network safety protocols during optimization processes.
  • Participate in network upgrade projects, including 4G/5G network rollouts, spectrum re-farming, and capacity upgrades.
  • Provide technical support and expertise for field teams during network optimization and troubleshooting activities.

Requirements:

  • Ericsson Vendor Experience on AT&T Network is a must.
  • 5G Experience is a must.
  • On-site in St Louis MO or New York NY (no remote or hybrid).
  • No Visa sponsorship at this time.
