Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain equipment, facilities, and systems to ensure a safe environment of care.

Accurately record and report work performed.

Access roof areas, basements, equipment rooms, tunnels, crawl spaces, and other minimally accessible areas on a daily basis.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment and facilities.

Work with contractors; read and interpret blueprints and manufacturer's specifications.

Perform general industrial maintenance, including fabrication, installation, and inspections of equipment and devices, some being specific to the healthcare environment.

May include service or repair work on plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, motors, pumps, electrical systems, pneumatic tube, lighting, flooring, window coverings, walls, and other systems.

Perform periodic inspections of buildings and make recommendations on needed repairs, installation, etc.

Adhere to trade practices and codes.

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED.

3 years' experience in a related field.

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
