STAFF PHYSICIAN JOB SUMMARY
Delivers high-quality primary and preventive care to patients, utilizing diagnostic and treatment skills to address various medical conditions.
STAFF PHYSICIAN ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide medical services to patients, encompassing all aspects of quality medical care.
- Stabilize and refer patients requiring urgent care, ensuring timely and effective treatment.
- Examine and treat patients assigned to other providers, or assist in triaging and rescheduling when necessary.
- Complete patient charts according to medical practice standards and specific requirements.
- Assist in obtaining lab specimens from patients when difficulties arise.
- Complete administrative projects assigned by the Medical Director.
- Maintain medical licensure, board certification, and hospital admitting privileges.
- Participate in the on-call schedule as set by the Medical Director.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in their area of specialty.
- Precept medical students, nurse practitioners, physician assistant students, and residents as assigned.
- Familiarize themselves with and adhere to medical office policy and procedure manuals.
- Supervise mid-level providers regarding clinical issues and State regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Quality Assurance activities and assist with audits.
- Advise administration of any issues impacting the practice.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Medical Director.
STAFF PHYSICIAN EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduate from an accredited medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Complete an accredited residency program.
- Hold board certification or be board eligible in their specialty.
- Hold an unrestricted license to practice in California.
- Hold a valid DEA license.
- PALS or NRP certification may be required.
STAFF PHYSICIAN COMPENSATION
$300,000 - $330,000 annually
