Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the professional nursing practice, professional development, and education of staff in the Emergency Department at Highland Park Hospital. This leadership role involves 24-hour accountability and responsibility for performance improvement initiatives, fiscal and human resource management, and adherence to regulatory compliance standards. The ideal candidate will create an environment that promotes customer loyalty for all customer groups, including patients, families, physicians, and employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the nursing staff in the Emergency Department
  • Develop and implement performance improvement initiatives
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Foster a culture of customer loyalty and satisfaction

Requirements:
  • Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • BSN degree required; master's degree in nursing, business, or a healthcare related discipline preferred
  • BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required
  • Minimum of three years experience in an appropriate clinical setting required
