We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food products in an institutional setting, utilizing basic and advanced cooking techniques, standardized recipes, and plating guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Meet production schedules in accordance with health, safety, and sanitary standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the quality of food items prepared, proper utilization and storage of food and supplies, and maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of equipment, supplies, and work areas.
- Perform food handling activities in accordance with external and internal guidelines and regulatory guidelines, minimizing waste during the flow of food while maintaining a quality end product.
- Accurately handle cash and follow internal procedures, conforming to established standards.
- Set up and deliver catering orders to appropriate customers.
- Two years of related food preparation experience, preferably in a full-service restaurant/hotel fine dining establishment.
- Valid Department of Health Food Handler's permit issued by the State of Washington.
