Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Hands-on Chemical Innovator to develop new products, improve existing products, and refine and enhance our company's manufacturing processes. You will work closely with both the R&D and Operations teams to learn the technical foundations of our business, then improve upon them. You will create new products and solutions throughout our company portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new products and solutions with specifications and testing requirements.
  • Evaluate new raw materials and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Work with operations to ensure successful scale-up of new products and processes.
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and create/modify plans to achieve desired results.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for scale-up of R&D processes for pigment encapsulation and ink formulation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate, think creatively, and collaborate in a variety of teams.
  • Good project and time-management skills, and proven problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Proven communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and procedures.
  • At least five years of experience working in chemistry/materials manufacturing.

 
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science is preferred.
  • Experience in ink, coatings, or adhesive formulation is highly preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of ink formulation, coating chemistry, and print production is desired.
  • Knowledge of color science is preferred.
  • Knowledge of or experience with microencapsulation is a plus.
