Job Overview

Position Summary: As a Procurement Specialist at AugmentJobs, you will be instrumental in overseeing the sourcing process to guarantee that we obtain the highest quality products and services at optimal prices. Your role will involve scouting potential suppliers, negotiating agreements, and fostering robust partnerships with vendors to advance our company's strategic goals.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Research and Assessment: Conduct thorough research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and assess their performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Negotiation of Contracts: Engage in negotiations with suppliers to establish favorable terms and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
  • Sourcing Strategy Development: Formulate and execute effective sourcing strategies that align with the company's objectives and enhance the supply chain efficiency.
  • Market Analysis: Remain updated on market trends, industry advancements, and pricing fluctuations to make informed sourcing choices.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitor their performance, and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Cost Structure Analysis: Evaluate cost structures and collaborate with finance teams to create budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Compile and present reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and market conditions to senior management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and sourcing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPSM, APICS) is advantageous.
  • Experience in a relevant industry is beneficial.
