This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including the management of proprietary materials, processes, designs, trademarks, and other intangible assets.
The ideal candidate will ensure that Stoneriver's intellectual property rights are safeguarded, maintained, and utilized effectively, enabling the company to sustain its competitive advantage in the market.
Key Responsibilities
To excel in this position, the individual must effectively carry out the following duties:
- IP Strategy Development:
Lead discussions to create a comprehensive IP management strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and strengthens its position in the real estate sector. - IP Portfolio Management:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to oversee the company's portfolio of patents, trademarks, and copyrights relevant to property management innovations. - Patent Administration:
Work alongside legal teams and external patent attorneys to draft, file, and manage patent applications. - Infringement Monitoring:
Partner with legal teams to monitor potential infringements and coordinate appropriate responses. - IP Management System:
Assist in selecting and implementing a global IP management system for all operational units. - Trademark Oversight:
Establish processes for the application, registration, and renewal of trademarks associated with proprietary property management systems. - Licensing Agreements:
Support legal teams in drafting and negotiating IP licensing agreements to protect Stoneriver's proprietary methods. - Trade Secret Protection:
Work with project managers to ensure confidentiality of proprietary techniques and educate employees on safeguarding trade secrets.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in law, business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in intellectual property management, preferably within the real estate sector.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
