Job Summary

The Senior Vendor Master Data Specialist is a key role at Boston Medical Center, responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This position requires a high level of expertise in vendor data management, with a focus on ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships to ensure timely and accurate creation and maintenance of vendor master data
  • Provide education and training to stakeholders on vendor setup, maintenance, and requirements for changes to the vendor database
  • Identify and manage critical data management issues and mitigate vendor fraud
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SOX and internal controls
  • Process vendor payments promptly and ensure reconciliation of annual 1099 reporting
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in accounts payable, supply chain, vendor data management, or finance-related fields
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Knowledge of Lawson/Infor General Ledger system preferred
