Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist II to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will be responsible for providing advanced psychological services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate mental health and psychological delivery services, activities, and programs.
  • Administer and interpret psychological tests and conduct psychological assessments and diagnoses.
  • Conduct behavior analyses, and design and monitor behavior modification and skill acquisition plans.
  • Design and conduct program evaluation studies, research studies, and projects, and disseminate findings.
  • Develop treatment plans that target specific behaviors or symptoms.
  • Provide ongoing training to clinical staff and paraprofessional staff.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to assist in reviewing comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Provide clinical consultation to primary clinicians for diagnosis clarification or making treatment recommendations.
  • Comply with HRD mandatory training requirements and participate in ongoing training offered by the department of competency, training, and development.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Psychology.
  • Knowledge of psychology, psychometrics, and physiological principles; of diagnostic criteria; and of psychological evaluation methods.
  • Skill in the use of psychological evaluation and assessment techniques, and in mediation procedures.
  • Ability to provide psychological counseling, to interpret diagnostic evaluations, to analyze behavior, to develop behavior modification and skill acquisition plans, to communicate effectively, and to supervise the work of others.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

Serologic evidence of immunity to, or documented evidence of vaccination against, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chickenpox), Tdap, annual vaccinations against influenza, and hepatitis B (if applicable).
