Administrative Care Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Care Tech Oncology Med Surg to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Job Summary:The Administrative Care Tech contributes to the delivery of exceptional patient care by performing a variety of clerical tasks, including greeting patients and visitors, directing them to other departments, and maintaining patient confidentiality. You will also assist the nursing staff in providing basic patient care, perform patient-centered secretarial tasks, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
Responsibilities:- Greet patients and visitors in waiting areas, directing them to other departments, and keeping them informed of wait times.
- Promote a positive, customer-oriented demeanor.
- Perform patient-centered secretarial tasks, such as physician order entry and creating, labeling, and organizing patient charts.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Perform rounding and respond to call lights and patient requests.
- Assist in the setup, removal, and cleaning of equipment.
- Identify malfunctioning equipment and initiate repairs.
- Monitor unit and patient rooms to assess availability of supplies.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
