Job Summary

The Truck Engine Product Support Sales Representative will be responsible for driving the growth of truck service sales at all Thompson Tractor locations within their territory. This role requires direct sales calls to prospective customers in the heavy-duty truck market, working closely with other sales representatives to develop and sell service in their respective territories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize Service Sales: Develop and execute strategies to increase service sales in assigned territory.
  • Coordinate Service Customers: Ensure seamless coordination of service customers to Thompson Tractor service shops.
  • Support Sales Team: Assist other sales representatives in selling service sales and develop Customer Support Agreements and maintenance programs.
  • Maintain Customer Data: Accurately record and maintain customer data records.
  • Collect Past Due Invoices: Assist in the collection of past due invoices.
  • Monitor Product Performance: Track and report product performance and competitive activity.
  • Provide Liaison Support: Serve as a liaison between customers, Thompson Tractor, and vendors.
  • Establish Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain personal working relationships with customers.
  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Follow up on past repairs to ensure customer satisfaction and inform customers on the status of repairs.
  • Negotiate Customer Complaints: Negotiate mutually agreeable settlements on customer complaints.
