About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Providence Swedish Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with the surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning, draping, and sterilizing instruments.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, providing timely and accurate delivery of instruments and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the circulating nurse to maintain accurate sponge, sharps, and instrument counts.
  • Participate in room turnover and cleaning, ensuring the operating room is ready for the next procedure.
Requirements
  • Certificate of completion of a surgical technician vocational program or equivalent training.
  • Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
