Vascular Technologist

As a Vascular Technologist at Heart Hospital of Austin, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams in a timely manner. You will work collaboratively with other members of the care team to ensure safe and accurate delivery of patient care. Your responsibilities will include identifying upper and lower extremity venous anatomy, performing upper and lower extremity Venous Duplex protocol for DVT, and operating complex measurement and Doppler programs.
Responsibilities- Identify upper and lower extremity venous anatomy
- Perform upper and lower extremity Venous Duplex protocol for DVT
- Operate complex measurement and Doppler programs
- Consistently produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric
- Complete quality scans in a timely manner, effectively organize and prioritize workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands
- Assist physicians performing invasive exams
- Perform procedures in OR
- Complete required documentation on forms, logs, and in computer
- Follow Patient Care and Safety Policies and Procedures
- Take call on a rotating basis
- Certificate of successful completion from an accredited school of vascular ultrasound
- Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
