Vascular Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients for the presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting the most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results, and report results.
- Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
- Maintain adequate supplies and verify that all equipment is in proper working condition; report deficiencies and failures.
- Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Ensure that all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
- Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areas, and any other areas in the department.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
