Retail Operations Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in assisting the Store Manager to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment. This role emphasizes our core values and guiding principles in all aspects of store management, including sales performance, asset security, and human resource functions, to ensure an exceptional customer experience and optimal profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Management:
Evaluates sales metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify business needs; collaborates with the Store Manager to implement effective sales strategies within the store. Establishes clear expectations and holds the team accountable for meeting brand standards in performance and behavior. Manages payroll and supply budgets efficiently.
Oversees essential operational tasks such as staff scheduling, inventory audits, and financial accuracy, ensuring all cash transactions comply with company policies.
Ensures adherence to legal requirements, loss prevention protocols, and operational procedures; conducts training for associates to reinforce compliance.
Manages all operational processes including inventory management, daily merchandise replenishment, and preparation for physical inventory counts. Ensures that the store's visual presentation and maintenance reflect the brand's standards.
Fosters a high-performance culture by motivating the sales team to achieve set sales and productivity targets. Provides training and coaching to enhance the team's product knowledge both online and in-store.
Team Development:
Inspires and motivates the store team, cultivating a shared vision while exemplifying core values. Encourages a collaborative approach to problem-solving and communicates effectively with the team to drive positive changes.
Actively seeks personal development opportunities and welcomes feedback to enhance leadership capabilities.
Customer Engagement:
Demonstrates, instructs, and advocates for the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience for customers. Utilizes various sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers in making informed merchandise selections.
Addresses customer concerns promptly and ensures a smooth register experience by staying updated on payment policies, returns, and exchanges.
Encourages the team to maintain consistent communication with clients through customer engagement initiatives.
Talent Management:
Assists in the recruitment, hiring, and development of a high-performing team. Supports and implements training programs and evaluates team performance.
Collaborates with the Store Manager to resolve human resources issues effectively and timely. Recognizes and rewards outstanding performance to enhance team engagement.
Ensures compliance with all employment practices and policies.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed, with variations depending on the brand.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of experience in retail management preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Able to adapt to company-provided technology.
Proven track record in customer service and sales leadership.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
Familiarity with the administrative aspects of retail operations.
Regular attendance is essential to meet company objectives, with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Constant walking and standing throughout the shift.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Frequent climbing as part of daily activities.
Compensation for this position ranges from $24.00 to $30.00, based on individual qualifications.
