Role Summary: We are looking for a warm and resourceful Guest Services Specialist with a deep understanding of the Hocking Hills area. The perfect candidate will possess a love for local activities, hiking trails, attractions, events, and nearby points of interest. In this role, you will serve as the primary contact for our guests, offering recommendations, facilitating reservations, and ensuring a memorable stay.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests upon their arrival with a friendly demeanor.
  • Provide insights and suggestions regarding local attractions, hiking paths, events, dining options, wineries, shopping venues, museums, and notable sites.
  • Assist guests in securing reservations for dining, tours, activities, and transportation services.
  • Stay informed about the Hocking Hills area and actively seek out new experiences to recommend.
  • Address guest inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and ensure a seamless experience.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and keep accurate records of guest interactions and requests.
  • Handle guest concerns with empathy and resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality or a related field is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a guest service or concierge role, ideally within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Hocking Hills area, including local activities, attractions, and dining options.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Capability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
