Key Responsibilities- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to achieve optimal exam results
- Operate computers and scanning equipment to obtain optimal images
- Respond to emergency calls and complete therapies and consultations
- Maintain patient exam records and meet standards of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission
- Enter data in exam result fields in Radiology Information System
- Operate the PACS and Nighthawk to review and edit studies
- Follow hospital radiation safety regulations to ensure patient and personal safety
- Board certification from ARRT (N), CNMT, or Indiana State Department of Health
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical preparation, computer acquisition, and theory of nuclear medicine
- Up to one year experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Works in a hospital office and patient environment, exposed to low level radiation and disease processes.
Physical DemandsRequires physical ability and stamina to perform essential functions of the position, including walking/standing for prolonged periods, pushing carts/wheelchairs, and providing CPR.
