Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our team at United Providers of Health, LLC in Raleigh, NC. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the delivery of whole-person care in Rural and Underserved communities.

Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in various laboratory tasks, including screening procedures, data entry, specimen collection, greeting customers, handling insurance information, answering the phone, filing, shredding, shipping and receiving packages. This role requires patience, empathy, time management, and professionalism with patients, co-workers, and providers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proper handling of medical records and test results
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Participating in routine laboratory tasks and other duties as assigned
  • Reviewing and maintaining temperature logs for each site
  • Daily cleaning of instruments, seats, and countertops
  • Shipping and receiving packages and samples
  • Data entry
  • Filing
  • Answering the phone
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • 6 months-2 years' work experience in a CLIA-accredited clinical laboratory (preferred)
