PCTs assist patients with personal care and daily living activities, gather data, and ensure a safe and organized environment for patients. They support patient care within the guidelines established and under the supervision of a clinician, while also assisting the unit with various patient logistics, clerical tasks, equipment/supply management, and charge reconciliation duties.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about gaining exposure to multiple departments in a float pool setting. This role offers a unique chance to engage with diverse patient populations across different departmental environments. Patient ratios typically range from 7:1 to 8:1. Primary responsibilities will include serving as a sitter in patient care and assisting patients with mobility, hygiene, and various needs while delivering outstanding patient care. Position Pay Range: $23.46-$29.25/hour
In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health shares the pay range for all positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range. Please note that this range applies to employees residing in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applicable for remote employees living outside the state. Requirements
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
One year of recent experience working under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider OR current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from an accredited institution OR current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentals. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and following instructions in English. Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
One (1) year of experience in acute care settings. Proficiency in multiple patient care skills. Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) certification.-
