Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at TC Transcontinental. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily maintenance activities, planning and assigning work, enforcing policies and procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance personnel to ensure effective execution of maintenance activities
    • Provide coaching and counseling to maintenance team members to improve performance and productivity
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to maintenance team members
  • Maintenance Operations
    • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
    • Manage and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards
    • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce waste
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
    • Develop and implement metrics to measure maintenance performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Environmental Stewardship
    • Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards
    • Develop and implement strategies to reduce waste and minimize environmental impact
    • Collaborate with environmental teams to identify and implement sustainable practices
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with maintenance team members, operations personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of maintenance activities
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
    • Provide regular updates to management on maintenance performance and progress
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant work experience in maintenance or a related field
      • 4-year technical degree (mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering) or journeyman skilled trade certification
    • Skills and Abilities
      • Strong leadership and management skills
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
