About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Design Senior Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Co. This individual will play a key role in introducing and implementing equipment required for new model introduction into Honda facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop optimal machine concepts for process characteristic changes using sound engineering principles.
  • Provide technical support for equipment and processes, and collaborate with the design team and plant members to achieve quality, cost, and safety criteria.
  • Act as a direct project leader for small to mid-sized business plan projects, driving forward projects from an engineering perspective.
  • Perform detailed process studies of new model car parts to understand machine capability and feed back issues to car part designers as needed.
  • Create specification and scope of work documentation to summarize changepoints, establish criteria, and process/part flow.
  • Support online installation phase verification and create a critical path schedule to maintain overall project milestones.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD systems and software.
  • Background in automated equipment development.
  • Excellent technical communication skills (written and oral).
Work Environment

This role will be based in Marysville, Ohio, with occasional travel to Honda facilities or external equipment vendors.
