Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Equipment Design Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Co.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop optimal machine concepts for process characteristic changes using sound engineering principles
* Provide technical support for equipment and process, and assist with project leadership functions
* Collaborate with design teams and plant members to achieve quality, cost, and safety criteria
* Perform detailed process studies of new model car parts to understand machine capability and identify issues
* Create specification and scope of work documentation to summarize changepoints and establish criteria
* Support online installation phase and verify spec criteria
* Develop and maintain critical path schedules to maintain project milestones

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering
* Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
* Knowledge of 3D CAD systems and software
* Background in automated equipment development
* Excellent technical communication skills

Working Conditions:
