Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Intake Coordinator to join our team at LHC Group's Easton, MA office. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient referrals and order management.

About the Role

The Intake Coordinator will be responsible for receiving and analyzing incoming referral and order calls, communicating patient/referral information to relevant teams, and verifying new referring physician licenses. You will also research coverage or pay source for each referral, verify commercial policies, and educate prospective patients, families, physicians, and hospitals about our home health services.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and analyze incoming referral and order calls, ensuring accurate and timely communication of patient/referral information.
  • Obtain demographic and clinical information from clients, physician's offices, and other referral sources to compile referrals.
  • Verify new referring physician licenses and research coverage or pay source for each referral.
  • Educate prospective patients, families, physicians, and hospitals about our home health services.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical and marketing staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School education or G.E.D.
  • Minimum of one to two years experience in office procedures.
  • Minimum of one to two years Insurance/Medical experience.
