Key Responsibilities- Assist with Daily Living Needs: Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, and hygiene, while promoting resident independence.
- Engage with Residents: Interact with residents at all levels of care, demonstrating empathy, kindness, and respect.
- Observe and Report: Observe and report any changes in resident health and emotional well-being to the supervisor.
- Support Daily Activities: Assist residents with meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry duties.
- Participate in Leisure Activities: Initiate and participate in leisure activities provided to residents, as described in the activity calendar.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and visitors, using a language they can understand.
- Sign Residents Out: Ensure residents and responsible parties sign residents out when they leave the community.
- Report Safety Hazards: Observe and report safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Work as a Team Player: Work collaboratively with other associates and management to accomplish work assignments.
- Comply with Policies: Comply with attendance and call-off policy, as well as participate in trainings and mandatory meetings.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training.
- Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear, with occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
