Position Overview

The role of the SAP Basis Administrator encompasses over 5 years of expertise within the SAP domain.

Key Responsibilities

The SAP Basis Administrator will oversee the comprehensive migration of various SAP S/4 products from on-premises environments to GCP cloud solutions.

This position entails:

  • Planning, designing, and executing the technical aspects of cloud migration.
  • Assessing the SAP platform along with its associated workloads.
  • Evaluating sizing requirements for the SAP infrastructure.
  • Executing the migration of the SAP platform and its workloads.

Additionally, the administrator will manage the SAP landscape and its interfaces, ensuring optimal performance.

Technical Oversight

Primary duties include:

  • Hands-on configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of the SAP technical environment during migration.
  • Developing and maintaining operational policies and procedures related to SAP support.
  • Managing change processes, including backup and restore, disaster recovery, and audit compliance.
  • Collaborating with the hosting team to maintain technical infrastructure documentation, including architecture and asset references.
Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess the ability to derive critical metrics such as:

  • VM sizing
  • Storage calculations
  • Uptime factors
  • Licensing considerations
  • High Availability/Redundancy mechanisms

Hands-on experience with various migration methodologies and databases, including Oracle, MaxDB, Sybase, SQL, and HANA, is essential.

A general understanding of key SAP modules such as FICO, HR, and SCM is also required.
