Director of Occupational Therapy Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Occupational Therapy Services to join our team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the management and specialist staff of clinical and educational programs in the Occupational Therapy Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise patient care activities and assess the need for new programs in areas of patient care, staff development, research, and education.
Recommend programs to meet defined departmental needs and plan and organize personnel, equipment, and space needs for implementation of programs.
Conduct personnel interviews of prospective staff members for employment and recommend staffing assignments for new employees and rotation assignments for staff.
Perform other duties as assigned, including clinical training of fieldwork and non-fieldwork students and implementation and documentation of treatment plans and interventions.
Requirements:
To qualify for this role, you must have a Bachelor or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy with a post-professional OTD required. Minimum of 7 years progressive management experience in Occupational Therapy is also required. Excellent communication skills and licensure in New York State as an Occupational Therapist with an active AOTA membership are also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy or other healthcare area, prior management experience to include supervising management/supervisory level positions, and prior experience with management of multi-site occupational therapy services are preferred. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
