Advanced Care Nurse

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Advanced Care Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of ICU nursing experience and a current, valid RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or a Compact RN license.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for assigned patient population in accordance with established protocols and multidisciplinary plan of care.
- Utilize independent, dependent, and interdependent interventions to restore stability, prevent complications, and achieve and maintain optimal patient responses.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- May be required to communicate effectively via the overhead paging system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum one year of ICU nursing experience.
- Current, valid RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing or a Compact RN license.
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire or placement in the role.
- Current healthcare provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from one of the following: American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military Training Network.
Benefits
Parkland Health and Hospital System offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
