This role is based in Stockton, CA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair various types of construction machinery, including dozers, haul trucks, backhoes, skid steers, motor graders, scrapers, wheel loaders, and other related equipment.
  • Conduct comprehensive machine inspections using CAT inspection applications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, engine, and powertrain systems.
  • Address technology systems issues, including Product Link, Payload Monitoring, VIMS, and Grade Control across various machines.
  • Utilize computer diagnostic tools and manufacturer software for equipment diagnosis and repair.
  • Interpret and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to complex machinery systems.
  • Complete all electronic data entry and documentation, including service reports, time entries, warranty claims, and inspections.
  • Communicate repair directions and warranty recommendations effectively.
  • Work independently or collaboratively as part of a team, providing coaching and mentoring to fellow technicians as necessary.
  • Foster a positive safety culture by adhering to company safety policies and regulations.
  • Maintain current safety training and certifications, including OSHA, MSHA, forklift operation, and Smith Driving.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or GED, along with five or more years of relevant equipment experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

A valid Class C driver’s license is required; a Class B license is preferred, along with a clean DMV record.

Compensation

Wage Range: $37.56 to $51.53, based on knowledge, skills, and ability to perform job responsibilities.
