We're seeking a Tax Manager to join our team and make a significant impact on our clients and communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of customer businesses to ensure engagement economics and provide frequent updates.
  • Actively communicate engagement progress, problems, and resolutions to customers.
  • Continuously improve specialty area knowledge and educate the team on new audit practices and processes.
  • Manage billable hour budgets and follow up on variances to determine the cause.
  • Perform technical tax review of assigned tax returns and identify complex tax issues.
  • Research and recommend creative solutions with input from key stakeholders.
  • Build developmental plans for team members and evaluate results.
  • Delegate and manage tax and research assignments to achieve accurate and efficient results.
  • Assume responsibility for and provide direction and coaching to the tax team.
  • Generate new business through community involvement, networking, and professional events.
  • Develop and sustain excellent customer relationships, owning the relationship end-to-end.
  • Celebrate individual and team accomplishments and participate in recruiting new and experienced staff.
  • Provide effective performance feedback and on-the-job training.
  • Contribute to performance management to assess readiness for promotion.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Master's degree in Tax preferred.
  • 5+ years of recent accounting firm experience, including managing multiple tax accounting projects and customer engagements.
  • Significant experience working with all types of entity taxes.
  • CPA certification.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Travel up to 15% of the time may be required.
