Role Summary:
This role is dedicated to providing cutting-edge support for the advancement of aerospace technologies through research, scholarship, and service. The incumbent will primarily function as an Engineer by:
  • Overseeing the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
  • Managing various engineering-related tasks within the organization.
  • Supervising the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods, and reports.
  • Creating technical reports, drawings, and other engineering documentation.
  • Drafting statements of work, Gantt charts, and progress reports for projects.
  • Participating in weekly project meetings.
  • Engaging in various testing activities to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating in a team environment with frequent interactions with team members and mentors.
  • Developing analytical processes/tools to enhance effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of development efforts.
  • Researching emerging technologies to innovate future product designs.
  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations to customers, partners, and leadership teams.
  • Working on projects that are both independent and collaborative in nature.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The incumbent will also have supervisory duties that include:
  • Overseeing assigned engineers and providing daily management, development, and motivation.
  • Assisting with timekeeping and bandwidth coordination.
  • Managing staffing levels, performance evaluations, and career counseling.
  • Coordinating assigned engineering activities with a focus on time and effort allocations.

Travel Requirements:
This position may require travel for technology testing, presentations, or outreach events.

Education & Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Three years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
