Endorsement Underwriter

This role is an entry-level position within the Underwriting Center.

The Endorsement Underwriter is tasked with evaluating endorsement requests and addressing general service inquiries from a designated portfolio of business.

Multiple positions are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess all non-commercial express renewal endorsement requests.
  • Ensure timely compliance with both corporate and local workflows and business strategies.
  • Provide prompt responses to producer inquiries related to endorsements and service requests.
  • Collect and analyze change requests, general service inquiries, and endorsement requests originating from producers.
  • Maintain adherence to jurisdictional compliance documentation standards, ensuring all underwriting documentation is thorough and complete.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Fundamental PC navigation skills, including familiarity with Windows operating systems, Lotus Notes, and the Internet.
  • Ability to meet or surpass established performance metrics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, alongside mathematical proficiency.
  • Exhibit robust business acumen and critical thinking skills that facilitate confident decision-making and sound judgment.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks and operate effectively within time constraints.
  • Basic understanding of underwriting principles and policy forms.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: College degree and/or exposure to underwriting
