Prep Cook Responsibilities:
  • Prepares meals utilizing standardized recipes efficiently.
  • Identifies necessary food items and coordinates meal production according to serving schedules.
  • Ensures all food items meet established guidelines for temperature, flavor, and quality at all times.
  • Guarantees the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of dishes as per the menu cycle and standardized recipes.
  • Tastes and evaluates food to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintains or surpasses cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.
  • Adheres to all safety and loss prevention protocols.
  • Manages food storage, checking labels and expiration dates.
  • Completes assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Follows all relevant local, state, and federal regulations regarding food handling.
  • Maintains records related to food safety equipment and temperature logs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience in food preparation, including full-line menu items and therapeutic diets.
  • Culinary training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Food Services Sanitation Certificate is desirable.
