Prep Cook Responsibilities:
1. Prepares meals using established recipes efficiently.
2. Assesses food and supply requirements, coordinating meal production with service times.
3. Monitors food items to ensure compliance with temperature, taste, and quality standards at all times.
4. Guarantees proper preparation, portioning, and serving of meals according to the menu and standardized recipes. Tastes food to assess quality.5. Upholds standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health regulations.
6. Adheres to safety and loss prevention protocols.
7. Manages food storage, verifying labels and expiration dates.
8. Completes assigned cleaning tasks.
9. Follows all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food handling.
10. Maintains records for food safety equipment and temperature checks.
11. Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in food preparation, including full-line menu items and specialized diets.
3. Culinary training or apprenticeship preferred.
4. Food Services Sanitation Certificate required.
