Welder I Job Description

Calgon Carbon, a Kuraray Company, is seeking a skilled Welder I to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. As a Welder I, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe shop environment while performing various welding tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform tack welding and finish welding of piping systems using SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding procedures.
  • Weld vessels and structural components using SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding processes.
  • Inspect own work to ensure compliance with drawings and weld procedures, making necessary repairs as needed.
  • Operate Fork trucks, jib cranes, and overhead crane after training.
  • Assist in other areas of the plant as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of welding experience is required.
  • ASME code welding is preferred.
