Configuration Management Specialist

ASRC Federal, Mission Solutions (AFMS) is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration, and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Configuration Management Specialist to support the continued development and sustainment of the U.S. Navy's Aegis Weapons System (AWS) in Moorestown, New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct experience with Configuration Management (Identification, Control, Status Accounting, and Auditing) and Quality Assurance.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux, VAX, and Windows.
  • Understanding of source code compilation and linking.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Word.
  • ClearCase/ClearQuest and Agile Development experience desired.
  • Occasional evening and Saturday work required.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with peers and customers at all technical levels.
  • Understanding of Configuration Management and Quality Assurance principles.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work in demanding situations.
  • Strong organizational skills, problem-solving, and teamwork.
  • Specific experience supporting Naval Weapon Systems a plus.
  • Must obtain and maintain a secret clearance, requiring US citizenship.
  • 2-4 years of experience in software configuration management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
