C-12 / King Air Aircraft Maintenance Technician (FAA A&P)
The C-12 / King Air Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing both organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work on Second Shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Hold a valid FAA A&P Certificate.
- Adhere to the Union CBA which outlines three levels of A&P experience based on years of service on the designated MDS aircraft C-12/ King Air.
- AM-1: Requires Two (2) Years of A&P experience, with preference for candidates having two or more years of C-12 experience.
- AM-2: Requires Five (5) Years of C-12/ King Air A&P mechanic experience.
- AM-3: Requires Ten (10) Years of A&P mechanic experience, including Thirteen (13) Years of C-12 experience under the Union CBA.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen to qualify for a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and site access.
- Responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft systems to ensure ongoing airworthiness.
- Tasks include working on avionics, electrical systems, engines, flight controls, and airframe components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as shears, sheet metal brakes, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills.
- Comply with aircraft records procedures as outlined in DA PAM.
- Ensure that aircraft discrepancies are documented according to approved maintenance procedures and contractual terms.
- Understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
- Participate in aircraft recovery missions as required.
- Conduct engine run or taxi operations and meet certification requirements within 12 months of employment.
- Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications to assess the feasibility and methods for repairing or replacing malfunctioning components.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Possess a valid FAA A&P Certificate.
- The Union CBA provides three levels of A&P experience based on years of service on the assigned MDS aircraft C-12/ King Air (Beechcraft 200/350/1900).
- AM-1: Requires Two (2) Years of A&P experience, with preference for candidates having two or more years of C-12 experience.
- AM-2: Requires Five (5) Years of C-12/ King Air A&P mechanic experience.
- AM-3: Requires Ten (10) Years of A&P mechanic experience, and Thirteen (13) Years of C-12 experience under the Union CBA.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and facility credentials.
- Willingness to work shifts and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation, as per the Union CBA. Second Shift 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Compliance with FAA regulations as applicable.
- Possession of a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and compliance with FAR 65.83, including recent experience requirements.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of managing stressful situations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Ability to move freely within the aircraft and meet specific weight limit requirements.
- Physical capability to stand, squat, sit, walk, and work with arms overhead for extended periods.
- Ability to pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs.
