Job Title: Sr Risk Specialist

Job Location: Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Birmingham, or Dallas (hybrid work arrangement preferred)

Job Duration: Contract to Hire

This is a contract position with the possibility of conversion to a full-time PNC employee. PNC does not sponsor work visas for contingent workers.

Candidate Preferred Industry Background:

Technology risk and operational risk experience is required.

Candidate Technical and Skills Profile:
  • Executes the Technology Risk Management program, identifying opportunities for enhancement and ensuring Technology and Line of Business adherence with Technology risk management programs.
  • Supports the execution of the Technology risk management program to meet business and regulatory expectations.
  • Leads in the design and development of technology controls for specific technology risk management program components.
  • Reviews current controls and ensures they effectively manage PNC risk.

Executes technology risk management programs within or across Technology and the Lines of Business, including risk and control self-assessments and technology quality assurance reviews. May lead cross-functional teams and review/update as necessary.

Provides technology risk expertise to Technology teams and other risk partners (e.g., Independent Risk Management, Compliance, Audit).

Manages matters and issues to completion while meeting deadlines.

Leads or influences technology risk initiatives and business-as-usual activities, identifying risk, assessing impact, and making recommendations for resolution. Reports and escalates risk and program compliance as appropriate.

Must-Have Technical Skills/Experience:
  • Experience with the creation, review, and maintenance of operational/technology risk programs.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint.
  • GRC tool experience.
  • Development and management of internal risks and controls.
  • ServiceNow (not development).
  • Experience with technology risk within financial institutions.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 1st Line of Defense risk experience.
Flex Skills:
  • Proficiency in Visio.
  • Proficiency in Tableau.
  • COSO certification.
  • Analytical background/data proficiencies (data mapping).
  • Experience with KY3P (know your third party).

CISA and/or CRISC certifications are a plus.

Soft Skills:
  • Great communication skills.
  • Self-starter.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Group setting work.
  • Ability to communicate with executive audiences.
  • Able to abide by timelines and escalate accordingly.
  • Good time management.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; ISACA certifications are a plus.

Level 3: 5-7 years of experience.
