Engineering and Platform Development:

Within C4, the Platform and Engineering team leads the evolution of integrated platforms across marketing technology initiatives, enabling Pfizer to deliver exceptional multi-channel experiences through web, mobile, messaging, and connected devices for our external customers.

The Solutions Architect is a senior technical position tasked with conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the implementation of sophisticated technical solutions across various business units.

This role acts as a liaison between business needs and technical capabilities, transforming stakeholder requirements into innovative and scalable solutions that utilize emerging technologies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Subject Matter Expertise - General

Design and architect technical solutions that meet stakeholder requirements while adhering to best practices, industry standards, and Pfizer's technology strategies.

Develop comprehensive technical specifications, system architectures, and implementation plans for immersive solutions.
Oversee the execution of digital solutions by development teams, ensuring compliance with the established technical architecture and design principles.
Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, security protocols, and industry best practices in solution development and deployment.
Promote a DevOps culture that enhances quality and accelerates delivery outcomes.
Strategic Leadership & Delivery

Adopt a risk-based approach to enhance innovative processes and methodologies, leveraging extensive business knowledge to evaluate and recommend suitable technologies, platforms, and frameworks, considering scalability, performance, security, and integration with existing systems.

Stay informed about the latest technological advancements, industry trends, and best practices, and advocate for the adoption of new solutions and strategies.

Resource and Financial Management
Manage and guide personnel, technological, and financial resources within the Business Unit, leading through influence rather than direct authority.
Cross-Team Collaboration
Engage with the Delivery Lead, Service Owners, stakeholders, and development teams to gather and analyze business requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technical Services Leads and Platform teams, to ensure seamless integration and support for solutions with Pfizer's digital platforms and technologies.

Utilize various communication tools and techniques to present complex ideas; anticipate potential objections and influence stakeholders.
Coaching and Mentorship
Conduct technical design reviews and solution evaluations to ensure alignment with business requirements, technological constraints, and industry best practices.

Actively share knowledge across multiple functions in the Global Business Unit through established knowledge-sharing processes/systems on technical design reviews and solution evaluations to ensure alignment with business requirements, technological constraints, and industry best practices.

Contribute to the development of organizational knowledge management processes/systems.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience/Technical Skills/Tools

7+ years of extensive experience in solution architecture, technical design, and implementation of complex software systems, particularly focusing on Marketing Technology features and capabilities.

Strong understanding of implementing and extending one or more SaaS & PaaS technologies and frameworks, along with their strengths, limitations, and integration capabilities.

Proficient in programming languages, development tools, and software engineering practices relevant to one or more enterprise MarTech solutions.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and trade-offs.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies, project management practices, and software development life cycles.
Passion for exploring emerging technologies and driving innovation in the field of Marketing Technology.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, robust, and scalable technical solutions.
Experience using prototypes of various levels of fidelity to aid in communication and decision making.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

WORK LOCATION:
Must be able to work in Pfizer office 2-3 days per week or as needed by the business.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,000. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share-based long-term incentive program.
